Causes of Eye Reoperation

Case 1 
Loose double eyelid line
• When the originally operated double eyelid line loosens
• Done by non-incision method
• Thick and stuffy eyelids


Case 2
Double eyelid line is too thick
• Double eyelid line was overly designed
• Contains too much of unnecessary fat


Case 3
Mismatch or asymmetry of eyes
• Height of the double eyelid is different
• Double eyelid line loosens on one of the eyes


Case 4
Too high or too low double eyelids
• First incision was done too high above or too low above the eyes
• Levator palpebrae superioris muscle was tied up too high above on the skin
•Loose skin was not removed


Case 5
Not satisfied with the shape of the eyes
• Double eyelids do not match well with overall look of the face

The Proper Time for an 
Eye Revision

A reoperation can be done after at least 6 months on the incision area.

If incision area remains swollen, it should be done after at least 3 months, after the tissues has stabilized.

It is preferable to have a reoperation within 2 weeks before the incision wound solidifies if the result of the first operation is not satisfying during the first 2 weeks after operation.





Candidates for Eye Reoperation

- Previously operated double eyelid became loose
- Previously operated double eyelid is too thin or too thick
- Previously operated double eyelids do not match between left and right
- Previously operated double eyelid looks unnatural
- Unsatisfied by result of previously operated double eyelid

Cautions after Facial Contouring 1.      Posture 1)      Keep your head 20~30 degrees higher than the heart to quickly reduce facial swelling. Maintain this posture for 1 week. 2)      While sleeping, lying on your side can create too much pressure and cause problems so it is best to lie straight on your back. 2.      Dietary Instructions 1)      You can start taking sips of water first 6 hours after surgery and if you feel comfortable, you can start eating rice porridge, and soft bread, tofu, boiled eggs and finely diced foods. 2)      Please avoid dairy products and foods that contain large amount of fiber, as it may cause diarrhea. 3)      It is recommended to consume soft foods and liquids for 1 week after surgery and after 1 week you can consume regular meals. 4)      For 2 weeks, please avoid oily, spicy, salty foods and for 2 months, avoid hard and chewy foods (gum, rice cake, candy, nuts, etc.) and for those who have undergone cheekbone surgery, please
